How to Cook Perfect Red Rice
Red rice has such a delicious texture, a nutty flavour and a colourful appearance that captures the eye. Upgrade your daily classics or add a fancy twist to the dinner party with red rice.
When cooking red rice always use 1 part rice to 2 parts water
Serves 2 people
Ingredients | |
150 ml red rice | |
300 ml water | |
1 tbsp olive oil | |
1 tsp Himalayan Rock Salt |
It goes like this.. | |
1) | Wash the rice well. |
2) | Bring water and rice to boil on maximum heat, without lid. |
3) | Once boiling cover saucepan with a tight fitting lid. |
4) | Turn the heat down to simmer and leave it to cook fir 35 minutes. |
5) | After 35 minutes turn the heat off. Let the rice rest in the saucepan with the lid on for 10 minutes. |
6) | Remove lid, add oil and salt. Genlty stir using a fog. |
